Week One

For the first week of classes, our format was a little different than the normal setup. Monday and Wednesday we were on zoom and Friday was in person.

On Friday we talked a lot about domains and subdomains. Professor Whalen explained that Zachwhalen.net is a whole domain. I also learnt what URL stood for which means uniform resource locator. Our class also discussed http:// and ftp://. Http:// is implied when you are googling a website. So if I were to google a website I do not have to add the http:// I can just put www.zachwhalen.net. Ftp:// is to locate files.
